La Fortezza Hotel is located in the historical center of Assisi, few meters far from the basilica of Santa Chiara and San Rufino. The structure is created from a palace dating back to the 14th century. The major tourist attractions of the city are close at hand, furthermore in less than an hour’s drive you can reach the major art cities of the region such as Spello, Perugia, Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno as well as the wonderful area of Montefalco.
Structure
The hotel enjoys an excellent location and is equipped with all comforts. Its 7 rooms are furnished in a personalized Umbrian style, and feature amenities such as air conditioning, desk, TV and private bathroom. The fine parquet flooring, without carpets or rugs, makes them full of the traditional style of the region.
The Restaurant
Since 1957, our Osteria and Braceria offers an à la carte menù full of dishes characterized by traditional Umbrian cuisine: you can taste fresh homemade pasta, grilled meat purchased from local farmers, vegetables and legumes from the area. Its rooms created from the ancient walls of the city of Assisi, give a unique atmosphere, possibility of outdoor tables to enjoy the beauty of the city’s alleys.
Facilities
Room service operates during limited hours. The continental buffet breakfast is served in a dedicated room from 8am to 10am. The restaurant offers typical specialties of Umbrian cuisine every day, as well as numerous varieties of wines from the most famous regional brands. Free Wi Fi. A reading room is available for our guests. The nearest public car park is 5-minute walking far from the hotel and the cost is 12 euros per day with our Assisi Card.
